All of our technicians have completed an apprenticeship in security electronics/communications to ensure they are skilled specifically in the area of security systems, and are continually updating their skills and knowledge to remain up to date with technical advances. Each have a minimum of 25 years experience with us, ensuring you a stable and competent team.
Before commencing Advanced Alarms Mackay, Tony Karst, the Managing Director, was a Naval Aircraft Maintenance engineer (Avionics)and held a Quality Assurance Inspector's Certificate for aircraft in his trade. He has also worked in the design of electrical circuits in the manufacturing industry.
Tony has held senior positions in the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) as State Chairman and as a Director on the National Executive from 2001 - 2005.
We have designed and/or installed and serviced security, access control, and camera systems for many commercial, financial, and industrial businesses as well as residential, and our extensive experience ensures that we have the capability to provide a system that meets our clients' requirements.

- Access control - including proximity and smart cards, electronic locks, interfacing to automatic gates.
- Surveillance (CCTV) cameras - experienced in the design, installation and maintenance of recording single and multiple cameras; interfacing camera systems to alarm systems; pan/tilt/zoom remote control cameras; digital video recording; covert (hidden) cameras for discreet surveillance of staff and public; video transmission through phone lines, fibre optic cable, microwave and laser technologies.
